Health Justice Using an industry-based model, MLOV's health organizing program engages and responds to the needs of workers in industries that have a significant portion of workers who speak English as an additional language and advocates for culturally and linguistically appropriate healthcare.

Educational Justice MLOV's S.M.A.R.T. (Student Multiethnic Action Research Team) program consists of English Language Learner youth in DC Public Schools. The SMART youth work towards quality education for all ELL students a reality, while developing leadership skills that will last them far beyond high school.

Know Your Rights Trainings inform people who speak English as an additional language about their rights to interpretation and translation services under the DC Language Access Act of 2004

To honor the diversity, history, and experiences of the communities we work with, MLOV documents and shares the often-unheard stories of DC's immigrant communities.

Partnerships with organizations and coalitions that advocate for an inclusive, accessible DC or advance the arts (including the art of language), including All Souls Church, Ayuda, Bloombars, CARECEN, Critical Exposure, Empower DC, La Voz del Barrio, Latino Economic Development Corporation, Language ETC, the Equal Rights Center, Global Language Network, Jobs with Justice, My Sister's Place, Union de Trabajadores, and the Vietnamese American Community Service Center.

Hosting monthly "teach-ins" about social justice with organizations we admire. Past guests have included HEARD DC and the Coalition of Immokalee Workers. Check out our blog for upcoming events.
