Health Justice: The Nail Salon Project

Picture
The Nail Salon Project focuses on empowering limited English proficient/non English proficient nail salon workers and owners. The Project educates community members about their legal right to language access - for instance, when interacting with government inspectors who oversee DC's nail salon businesses or when seeking medical services for work-related symptoms. Through the Nail Salon Project, MLOV also addresses industry-specific health and safety concerns.

The Nail Salon Project is a joint endeavor with the Vietnamese-American Community Service Center and a member of the National Healthy Nail and Beauty Salon Alliance.

For more information about the Nail Salon Project, or to join us to make nail salons safe and healthy to ensure better worker occupational health and safety, please contact Tiffany at: tiffany(at)mlovdc.org
